Grief is the second progeny of Baton Rouge's Shannon. She is a very quiet and meek appearing woman, yet she has an inner strength that Shannon grew to admire upon meeting her.

Living in a mental institution since she was 13, Grief knew very little of the outside world and the ways of civilized people. She had been discovered in the hills of Tennessee by an older couple camping in the area. Originally, they thought a wild animal had been rummaging through their camp at night, before the man woke up early one morning and caught her limping away from the camp site. She'd been naked but for the dirt covering most of her skin.

After she had been taken to a hospital, county officials tried to determine the origin of her condition. They surmised that she had been either abandoned or lost in the hills and living completely off the land while protecting herself from harm. Her limp had come from a recent coyote bite on her lower leg which probably occurred only days before the old couple had found her. Doctors say that if she had not been discovered, her leg would have rotted from infection in less than 5 weeks. Not knowing what to do with her, an article was posted in the local papers describing her features and estimated age. After no one contacted the papers of county officials, Grief was sent to Louisianna to be studied by psychologists. She remembered some English, which led the docotors to believe that she had been over 5 years old at the time she was left in the wilderness. But she couldn't recall her name or parent's names, which made the doctors believe the trauma of isolation had damaged her mentality.

After reviewing several articles about Grief, Shannon went to the clinic where Grief was kept and released her under false information and with the help insiders. The Newspapers announced that Grief, whom they called Wild Jane, had been found by her family and was returned to them after a bill of full health and mental evaulation had been (doctored) completed. Shannon named "Wild Jane" Grief, in honor of his father, Griffon. After explaining the circumstances of how she came to be with him, he embraced her and has been at his side since.

She is said to be very jealous of Shannon's companion, Kiko.
